long time no ikea
we went to ikea today :) woohoo, nah i don't really enjoy it all that much, i just pretend. after checking out some flats for sale, just to see what the market is like (not good for people with little money, let me tell ya), we drove to ikea where we promptly lost one another in the sea of shoppers. the flats we saw may have inspired the trip, though i have been wanting to go there for a while. them kitchen shelves needed organising, especially the spice one. here's what i bought: two plants, a ficus and a peace lily, a bathroom mirror, and two kitchen shelf organising thingies. i also bought some salty herring and marabou chocolate onwhich i munched whilst blissfully lost from nick's view – until he surprised me as i was inspecting a ficus. busted. he was quite shocked himself. we left the remainder of the illegal substances under a flowerpot. when found ikea will probably be evacuated due to a perceived bomb scare. sorry folks, it's just that i am trying not to eat sweets. i hope y'all understand, after being rushed out, strip searched and hosed down for safety reasons.
nick chose a huge flower pot for the tiny ficus – his thinking: buy a big ficus it'll get too big too quick. buy a small one, it's just right … but then the pot must be large so we don't have to keep buying new ones as the ficus grows. he reassured me that if the ficus were a child he'd be quite willing to buy clothes that fit. ah sweet. i gave in, and our mini ficus now stands on its tippytoes all but hidden from view in its flowerpot. nick was somewhat shaken, mid-crisis you might say, so i forgive him his decision.

I LOVE IKEA! I wish we had one in our city … I have to drive for three hours to get to one.
