here's how it works:

steinunn applies for 67 jobs. gets very few interviews and no takers. they all say the same, you know a little abt lots, but nothing abt specifics. so she must see out her days as a small-talking receptionist discussing printer toner and staples til the cows come home.

nick applies for two jobs. he gets one interview. out of it he gets a job. he applies for another job. he gets that, too. they even agree on some terms and conditions he makes. then the other job tells him there is no need to work out his notice, he can just go on holiday. paid. unheard of! too clever. he must be punished.
