Went to a book market at the Pearl where, before succumbing to my natural & inevitable irritation at throngs & tight spaces and zipping past ignorant stationary people in awkward places whilst sighing loudly and hoping they’d hear my annoyance, I managed to purchase books for my wee nieces’ (9 and 1) birthdays and take a look at David Attenborough’s Life in Cold Blood.

In it I glimpsed a look at the cutest frog picture – a gastric brooding frog about to release an offspring, through her

Cute, eh? What a good mamma.

mouth! I haven’t found an equally well taken photo on line, but include one here – frogs are just so cute! Some info abt frogs, borrowed from here:

Frogs range all across the world, with the exception of Iceland and Antarctica. There are approximately 4000 species of frogs and toads, from the tiny Peeper to the brightly colored poison arrow frog, and even the Gastric Brooding Frog which can turn off its own gastric juices and incubate its young in it’s stomach!

Amasing :)

So now I’ve got three frog entries under my belt – one about two frogs I caught breeding in English nature, one about Sad Kermit the Creep and this one. At my friend’s baby’s name giving event on Sunday a friend was wearing a beautiful pearl necklase, with a tiny frog in the middle/front. Very pretty.

Frogs – I should look them up to see what it means to see and think of them regularly for a short period of time. Hopefully it bodes well :)

Ribbit.
